Solar Power

What can an efficient home have in common with a living plant? Just as a plant photosynthesizes to produce its own energy, YOUR HOME can produce its own electricity with SOLAR POWER!

About Photo Voltaic (Solar Panels)

In a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system, PV cells convert sunlight to electricity. The more sunlight there is, the more electricity the system produces. Electricity produced by solar panels is first directed to your home, while any excess energy produced is fed back into the grid, which your home draws from at night, so you never go without power.

Why Solar?

In addition to lowering your home energy costs, utilizing your own solar-generated electricity helps to reduce your dependence on energy produced by burning fossil fuels, making them a more cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional utility use.

And since Massachusetts is one of the most progressive states when it comes to encouraging solar power, you can have solar panels installed on your home for no money down, and in some cases can even earn money on the electricity produced by your panels by earning solar renewable energy credits (SRECs).

Additionally, you can help boost the local economy by switching to solar, since our solar partners create local jobs by hiring local contractors.

Is Your Home a Good Fit for Solar?

If you have a south-facing roof without any dormers or gables, or an unshaded yard, you're in luck!
